Staff Accountant Job

AGCO is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join its North American Finance team in Duluth, GA, reporting to the Assistant Controller of General Accounting. The Staff Accountant’s primary responsibility is to provide support to the month end close process and to ensure the general ledger is accurate and in accordance with US GAAP. The Staff Accountant will be an essential member of the North American finance team and will work closely with AGCO’s local functional teams, North America site operation teams and corporate finance teams.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:
Ensure proper recognition of revenue

Allocate freight expenses

Record and manage prepaid expenses

Prepare monthly account reconciliations

Maintain or enhance desktop procedure documentation

Provide assistance to both internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews, annual audits and Sarbanes Oxley testing

Actively work towards becoming an expert in areas of responsibility

Provide meaningful analysis and support for ad hoc requests, projects and other duties assigned

Required Qualifications of the Staff Accountant:
0-3 years of accounting experience

Intermediate or higher knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications of the Staff Accountant:
Working knowledge of JDE (JD Edwards), HFM (Hyperion Financial Management)

Education of the Staff Accountant:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
