Staff Accountant

& Objective

The basic function of the Sr. Bank and Tax Analyst position is to provide bank account reconciliation and tax information in support for our divisions within Rust Consulting. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills along with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Must follow and meet Key Performance Expectations (KPEs) for this role.
• Coordinate and complete bank reconciliations for high volume accounts.
• Determination of Federal Tax Deposits.
• Backup for daily Banking activities including Positive Pay, Wires and Account Setups.
• Assist with monthly Distribution Account Reconciliation.
• Annual completion of 1099, 1098, 1042, W-2 and other required tax documents and submission to IRS.
• Monthly Escrow Account Reconciliation.
• Respond timely to various QSF banking questions.
• Process management duties.
• All other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Job Qualifications & Requirements

• College degree or equivalent experience (5+ years).
• Experience with Positive Pay, Bank Account Reconciliations and general banking relationships preferred.
• Strong communication skills both orally and in writing.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – proficiency in Word & Excel.
• Able to work well in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Positive and professional attitude.

Physical Requirements: Physical demands with activity or condition requiring a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (i.e., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine. Physical demands may include walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
