1. Data Analysis skills–Proactive and confident with MS SQL Server 2012 (experience with SQL 2016 is a plus as they will be migrating to SQL 2016)

2. Experience with SSIS –cleansing and staging data when to apply a normalized model and when to apply a denormalized model. How to use indexes appropriately, performance tuning, how to best structure the code, coming with new ideas, data quality–filter out the bad data.

3. Team-first mindset, collaborative, fast learners possessing a keen attention to detail

Client prefers candidates with a bachelor’s degree in computer science/information systems.

The client is seeking candidates with the following experience to ensure a successful engagement:

Exposure to best practices in Data Warehousing and High Performance Relational Database Systems

Minimum 3 years of experience design and developing ETL solutions

Working experience with SQL Server, SSIS

Exposure to MySQL and Pentaho will be extremely helpful but not mandatory

Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced environment will be critical

Effective collaborator and ability to thrive in a team environment is important

The essential functions of the role are as follows:

Design, develop and Unit Test ETL process as applicable

Work with the Data Development and Database Administration teams to analyze and debug issues with ETL processes and apply fixes adhering to operating environment best practices

Create design specifications (High Level and Low Level Design Documents and enhance Physical Data Models as required)

Critically analyze batch processing performance and suggest improvements where appropriate

Collaborate with Quality Analysts on system, performance and user acceptance testing as well ITIL team members on release and change management as required

Participate in peer code review sessions and document code and design artifacts as necessary
