SSIS Developer

The Sr. SQL Developer is responsible for overall maintenance and development of reporting systems and ETL processes. They will also be required to design and code new interfaces which will map data and propagate the data into standard production tables, as well as enhance, troubleshot and fix issues that arise with existing interface code. The Sr. SQL Developer will work with operational support to understand data requirements surrounding the exchange and reporting of data as well as with engineering for necessary table structure or other code needed to support those data requirements yet ensure optimal performance and scalability. The Sr. SQL Developer will need to execute against projected plans while meeting changing production needs and requirements.

Project Definition and Title

SSIS Developer responsible for the scripts required to extract, transform, clean and move data and metadata so they can load into the enterprise data warehouse, data marts or operational data stores. Duties and Responsibilities

Work with the business analysts to identify and understand source data systems.

Map source system data to the data warehouse, data marts or operational data store models.

Develop and test extraction, transformation and load (ETL) processes.

Define and capture metadata and rules associated with the ETL processes.

Adapt ETL processes to accommodate changes in source systems and new business requirements. Skills and Experience Desired

College degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or computer engineering.

Certification in Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist and Microsoft Certified IT Professional: Business Intelligence Developer.

Minimum of 4 years direct work experience.

Comprehensive data warehouse analysis and design experience, with knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and data modeling.

Demonstrated ability with SSIS ETL tools.

Strong ability to analyze user requirements into technical solutions according to specifications.

Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.

Experience with database design applications, including Visio and Erwin.

Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques.

Strong understanding of the organizations goals and objectives.

Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

Strong written and oral communication,presentation and interpersonal skills.

Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.

Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
