UI Front End Developer (with React JS)

Minneapolis, MN

Seeking a full-time employee for a remote position. Candidate must have extensive experience with front end technology and prior experience with data visualization. Prior experience with financial data is preferred. Onboarding will be followed by a three-month probationary period.

Requirements and Position Responsibilities

• Develop new user-facing features to support an interactive 3D data visualization tool.
• Optimize/rework existing ui features to meet customer intent.
• Understand cross-browser ui-compatibility issues and ways to address them.
• Understand and resolve cross-browser cache issues.
• Be prepared to design mobile based features.
• Implement ui design that continues to interact with the api and internal database.
• Create quality mockups and prototypes.
• Document workflow and processes.

• FontAwesome icons – Required
• SASS (CSS preprocessor/ modular CSS) – Required
• Modern ES6 Javascript/ JSX using Babel – Required
• Node.js – Required
• Be proficient with code versioning tools (GitLab) – Preferred
• Have experience with build pipelines and CI/CD tools (Jenkins) – Preferred
• Prior experience with NGINX – Preferred
• Prior experience with MySQL – Preferred
• JSON – Preferred
• Be open to learning new languages
• Be open to learning financial industry standards

Education

• A four-year technical degree in computer science or another technical field.
• In the absence of a formal degree a proven professional track record of 7+ years will be accepted.
