Sr. Technical Program Manager

The Sr. Technical Program Manager (STPM) will lead the project work to support the company’s ongoing growth. This critical role is focused on many key areas for Savigent including but not limited to enterprise governance, process definition, process methodology, standardization, resource capacity management, planning, budgeting and financial tracking.

Reporting into the CTO, the STPM will work closely with and support the Executives for Product, Sales, Technology, Operations and Finance teams in conceptualizing, designing and implementing key initiatives. The STPM will lead, drive, manage, coach and mentor team members at all levels of the organization to adopt the best practices.

Essential Functions

Partner with Sr. leaders to optimize Savigent’s project intake process

Define standard templates for the project intake and integrate the templates into SOW process

Define standard templates for project execution and standardize the processes

Ensure effective project deliveries and ensure quality across deliverables

Create and manage a high-level project dashboard across projects

Ensure key milestones are being met through reporting options available from Visual Studio Team Services

Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Development teams to ensure estimations are created timely to support the SOW process and provide high-level project schedule advice (when projects can start and/or potential duration)

Manage the financial aspects of Professional Services work including rates, budget, forecast, benefits, time tracking, invoice, payment, and change impact.

Manage project scope to SOW and facilitate any change control processes

Manage resource capacity for growing team of professional services resources

Define skill inventory and roles with definitions for different professional services resources

Manage resource allocation, timelines, resource utilizations including actual and forecasted work

Provide status communications on projects

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor degree in computer science, MIS or information technology field

10+ years of experience overseeing information technology department

3+ years’ experience establishing and building best PM practices

Familiarity with Agile processes

Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services

Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services and/or Microsoft Project Service Automation (Dynamics) would be nice

Optimize processes and ensure effective project delivery for the organization

Drive standardization and quality into project delivery

Manage project status in an easy to understand dashboard

Ability to communicate effectively with upper management

Financial management of multiple simultaneous projects
