Sr. Manager, IT Applications – Workday Finance

Summary of Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Applications, we are looking for a Sr. Manager of IT Applications to drive the delivery and management of IT applications within the enterprise.

Primary Responsibilities & Objectives

• Provide end-to-end IT business application implementation and support, needed integrations and service management of all technologies, processes, information along with related IT resources required to support specific business needs.
• Collaborate with key business stakeholders to develop end-to-end IT applications strategy and assess the impact of the roadmap on the end-to-end application service.
• Ensure that enhancements and changes to application services are being delivered as per business expectations and commitments of timing, effort and quality.
• Manage risks and impacts of newly delivered changes in regards to supportability, quality and business readiness. Ensure the currency of comprehensive test plans including Integration and regression scenarios.
• Share key application service improvements and successes with Key Business Stakeholders and IT Leadership.
• Manage the external service providers to assure IT application services are delivered effectively and efficiently. This includes fulfilling user requests, resolving service failures, fixing problems, as well as carrying out routine operational tasks.
• Ensure enhancements and projects follow IT intake guidelines to ensure all required information is available to support changes. (Documentation, etc.)
• Manage a team of Application Analysts and developers that support the company.
• Monitor the Application Support incident/request queue to ensure they are addressed in accordance with defined Service Level Agreements.
• Provide leadership, prioritization and communications for critical incidents which impact application services

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, business administration, or related fields.
• At least 10+ years hands-on experience with enterprise business applications implementation and management (such as ERP, CRM, HCM, etc).
• At least 5+ years of IT and business/industry work experience, including project and third-party management, application maintenance and team leadership.
• 4+ years of Workday Finance & HCM experience with implementation, support or development is a Must-Have.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, databases and how they work.
• Very strong technical knowledge, with hands-on experience managing systems development in new computing architectures and environments; knowledge of relevant technology, tools, and middleware is critical
• Ability to write detailed technical specifications and understand how to interpret business requirements
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• SFDC implementation, customization, or integrations is a big plus
• Cloud integration package experience such as Snaplogic, MuleSoft etc., is a big plus
