Sr IT Manager – Manhattan

The

Senior IT Implementation Manager – Manhattan position is responsible for supervising an IT implementation team and leading them in support aspects of new Contract Logistics implementations and start-ups involving the Manhattan system for OHL customers. This role has day to day management of the team responsible for delivering these business solutions to meet or exceed customers’ and internal business partners’ business requirements.

Primary Duties:

  • Manages the Manhattan Support Analyst and Programmers to ensure customer implementation deadlines and requirements are met
  • Performs resource and workload analysis to effectively prioritize and assign project and support requests
  • Applies technical and business implication knowledge of Manhattan configuration strategies to support for new customer solutions, including process design, functional configuration, project timeline, user training, and operation and accounting process implementation
  • Ensures compliance with Manhattan implementation architectural standards
  • Participates in the creation and maintenance of all internal team standards and ensures that team members adhere to these processes when executing their duties
  • Maintains and documents accurate project plan status
  • Collaborates with other departments on integrated start ups and conversions
  • Ensures that new implementations meet or exceed customer service goals
  • Provides scheduled updates to customers and other stake holders
  • Ensures stability of new account for proper hand off to operations
  • Other duties as required and assigned

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or university; an emphasis on Logistics preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years 3PL or MIS experience; or an equvalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with warehouse management applications
  • Experience with Third Party Logistics or sophisticated supply chains of a manufacturer or retailer
  • PC literate to include proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience with Oracle SQL
  • Knowledge of Manhattan WMS tables and Database concepts
  • Good understanding of Manhattan Open System architecture

Essential Skills:

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%
  • Moderate to complex level of knowledge of business applications and business processes
  • Ability to read analyze, and interpret financial reports, technical procedures, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of the organization as well as various levels of the customer’s organization

Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles, and is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
