Sr. Financial Associate

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The Customer Business Team is seeking a
Senior Financial Associate
to join the team at Headquarters in El Segundo, CA. This role
demonstrates ownership for Trade Finance as well as managing all financial aspects of Mattel’s relationship with the nation’s largest retailers.

Your impact:

• Work closely with the account sales reps to support account strategies and tactics.
• Work closely with Mattel’s Customers and monitor their websites regarding Trade Spend deductions.
• Perform ROI analysis on all account promotional and other trade spend programs to ensure effectiveness of spend.
• Manage trade spend budgets.
• Collect proof of performance and support to clear customer deductions taken for promotional activities.

Key Success Factors:

• Strong relationship building skills and ability to communicate with all levels of company personnel required
• Communication: ability to develop a storyline, generate clear infographics, and clearly present findings to diverse groups in a geographically distributed environment
• Passion for toy industry
• Excel proficiency (modeling and forecasting) required; PowerPoint or other graphics presentation capability preferred

Experience, Education & Skills

Experience, Education, Knowledge, Skills Required:

• BA/BS (Finance preferred);
• 1 -3 years’ work experience, preferably in a fast-moving consumer goods company, management consulting, or investment banking
• Knowledge of accounting principles, credit memos, deductions
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of management, internal and external
• Ability to persuade and partner with a variety of functions including sales, finance and consultants
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload
• High degree of initiative, drive, confidence, and resilience
