Sr. Digital Developer

Job Summary:
The Senior Digital Developer role owns the development of new features & functionalities, level 2 support and system maintenance of digital solutions such as websites, apps and content management system. In this role the Sr. Digital Developer has the responsibility to interact with the Business team to better understand the system requirements and other system developers to develop cross-system integrations using APIs as needed. The Sr. Digital Developer will also participate in strategic discussions in addition to the tactical development, content management, and interpretation of Google analytics. This individual must be proactive, highly organized, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator (written and verbally). They will interact closely with a cross-functional group including Marketing Communications, Digital Strategy, Product Marketing, Medical Education, IT, Regulatory, Sales Training, as well as external vendors/partners.

Senior Digital Developer responsibilities:
Develop innovative digital solutions in a collaborative environment to deliver on digital strategies

Develop and deliver digital projects which enhance the customer’s journey, meet end user’s requirements, are easy to use and drive customer engagement

Research, evaluate, and prototype new methodologies, technologies, and products; propose and follow through with improvements in processes and tools

Contribute to architecture and design decisions for prototype development & technology solutions

Provide hands on development for digital solutions including websites and iOS apps

Integrate Google API, analytics and CMS solutions within digital solutions for seamless experience

Collaborate with sponsors and fellow developers to develop cross-platform solutions

Provide knowledge of external digital consumer/competitive landscape

Keep up-to-date on latest digital tools, technologies and tactics being used; evaluate how CSI can take advantage of opportunities to use new technologies and approaches

Create, maintain and execute verification and basic performance testing scripts for digital ecosystem

Work with internal and external parties to utilize appropriate monitors, alert configurations, and procedures for triage, analysis and troubleshooting of issues from analyzing logs/output errors

Characterize, analyze and optimize the performance of digital solutions

Define appropriate performance metrics for digital ecosystem

Partner with other digital team members to establish baselines and key performance indicators

Maintain compliance to the CSI Quality Policy/System (e.g. Master Control), and all other documented quality processes and procedures, when performing assigned tasks

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field

5+ years of development experience using PHP, WordPress, Javascript/JQuery

3+ years of development experience with Java and/or .NET APIs for decoupled CMS integration

Understanding or experience in medical device industry a plus

Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time

Demonstrated ability to learn new technology quickly

Successfully work collaboratively and with minimal supervision

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required for Successful Job Performance:

Strong experience with WordPress, HTML/CSS, PHP, JavaScript/JQuery and responsive design

Familiarity with decoupled CMS solutions to enable multichannel delivery

Working knowledge of Google APIs and analytics integration

Proficiency in digital communication including updating website content, content management systems, and website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)

Up-to-date on latest trends and best practices in online marketing, measurement and development

Physical and Mental Requirements:
May sit for long periods of time

Operating a computer, telephone, voicemail and other office equipment on a regular basis

Must be able to express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word

Must have the ability to convey detailed information in a clear and concise manner

Must demonstrate good problem-solving skills
