Sr. Dev/Ops Engineer (AWS)

Your Mission:

To provide support for Development Team Operations including hosting and maintaining development tools, providing Release Engineering support for Data Science Teams & supporting Data Governance Policy in relation to Data Science.

Your Commitments:

• Support CI and CD systems used by Development Teams such as Jenkins, TravisCI, etc.
• Provide Release Engineering support for Development Teams including managing AWS Resources, performing Service & Application Deployments
• Support Data Governance Policy within the SDLC including extracting and moving approved customer data to a secure development environment

Your Competencies:

The MUST HAVES…

• Practical experience in using Relational Databases (ie. MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle) as well as Non-relational Databases (ie. MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis)
• Demonstrated experience in installing, troubleshooting and debugging Cloud Services
• Experience in developing and releasing software products in cloud environments
• Ability to collaborate with other functions in order to deploy and maintain solutions in an appropriate and cost effective manner
• Fundamental understanding of Agile Software Development
• Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure

The Nice to haves (but not required)…

• Strong Expertise with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented and Object Oriented Architectures), and of network/web related protocols
• AWS or Vendor Agnostic Cloud Management Certification

Your Education & Experience:

• Ideally at least a BS in Computer Science or some STEM undergrad or comparable work experience
• 3-5 years in DevOps or IT Support Role
• Availability for on call support<span
