Hansen Technologies is a global provider of customer care and billing solutions in the Utility, Pay TV and Telecommunications industries. We have 14 global offices with customers in 80 countries. Due to our growth in the North American markets, we are looking to hire a Sr. Cloud Engineer. This position will be based in Bethlehem Pennsylvania.

Job Summary

As a Hansen Sr. AWS Cloud Engineer, you will work within the IT Services team to optimize the newly deployed AWS environment. To be successful in this team and role you should have a friendly, customer-driven approach as well as solid knowledge of Cloud Technologies (strong AWS focus), Microsoft Server, Linux, networking and security.

This position will offer you opportunities to work in diverse environments and be responsible for the designing, implementing, optimizing and support of Hansen’s cloud infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for ensuring that Hansen’s cloud environment meets the needs of internal and external users. This includes architecture, development, deployment, optimization and support of cloud solutions that meet the needs of our global business. Other responsibilities may include:

• Design and implement architectural roadmaps regarding Hansen’s Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) architecture.
• Design and implement internal systems, processes and best practices designed to increase reliability, stability and productivity
• Lead architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, and high availability
• Recommend architecture to meet business needs
• Design, implement and maintain servers, storage, network and security infrastructure for IaaS environment
• Design, implement and test disaster recovery and business continuity procedures
• Create and implement automation for cloud environment
• Design, implement and maintain cloud monitoring solution
• Ensure environment meets the performance and capacity standards
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in after-hours support.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related focus
• Minimum 5-7 years of cloud experience (strong AWS focus preferred)
• Expertise in Linux (Redhat, Centos, OEL)
• Expertise in Windows operating systems
• Expertise with automation technologies such as PowerShell, Puppet and/or Chef
• Expertise in network architecture including VPC, ELB, DNS, VPN in a multi-region/multi-availability zone configuration
• Expertise in security best practice including AWS Security administration, IPS/IDS
• Design, implement and support of cloud monitoring solutions
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with peers
• Exceptional problems solving skills
