SPECIALIST – INTERNATIONAL COMPENSATION

The Specialist _ International Compensation is responsible for providing strategic design, implementation and administration of international compensation programs. Provides consultative guidance and oversight for compensation related initiatives for international, expatriate and third country national employees worldwide. Administers and participate in surveys and maintains web-based communication tools. Ensures that international compensation programs are competitive within the respective market and in accordance with Delta’s global total compensation philosophy. Researches and ensures compliance with current compensation and benefits trends, regulatory compliance and policy equity for all international employees. Constructs complex data sets for each individual country in accordance with local laws and regulations in both union and non-union environments. Partners with International HR to provide subject matter expertise to the development, implementation and on-going administration of all international collectively bargained benefit plans and compensation systems. Provides job analysis, tools, knowledge, training and expertise to International HR regarding compensation and benefits matters. Proactively researches external/emerging compensation and benefits trends and assesses their level of appropriateness for Delta internationally. Participates in establishing compensation policies for international staff and ensures that corporate policies are appropriately reviewed for applicability and implementation in international locations. Works in cooperation with other major airlines to ensure competitiveness in each market. Partners with external vendors to ensure timely and accurate service delivery. Occasional ad-hoc support to domestic compensation. Practices safety conscious behaviors in all processes and procedures.

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred, with previous global compensation experience highly desired. Must have strong analytical skills and be extremely proficient in Excel and Word, with working knowledge of Access. International HR experience and additional language skills are a plus. Ideal candidate will have working knowledge and past experience using Tesseract and Hyperion, and be very familiar with Delta’s current pay policies for all employee groups. Must be a team player and be able to interact with staff at all levels. Must be results oriented and capable of meeting or exceeding deadlines with attention to detail and follow-through under minimal supervision. Should possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be capable of handling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
