Solutions Architect – Minneapolis

The Solutions Architect or as we call internally "Client Solution Manager" is responsible for supporting the strategic goals of the organization through sales pursuits. This includes working closely with Account Executives and other key sales team members to build client trust and confidence in Magenic’s delivery of high performance solutions. In addition to sales, this role will also play a key role in providing delivery oversight and engagement governance on projects won and effectively ensure a smooth transition to the Consulting Manager (within 6 weeks after project start). This is a management role with no direct reports.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with Sales to support sales pursuits, while playing a key role in providing delivery oversight.
  • Facilitate collaborative client estimates through Agile/Capacity workshops.
  • Engage appropriate subject matter experts (e.g. Practice Leads, Principal Leads) when needed.
  • Partner with the Account Executive team to meet with prospects throughout the sales lifecycle.
  • Perform service offering educational sessions in front of the client.
  • Analyze backlog details with enough depth to understand the product requirements.
  • Act as an agile evangelist and thought leader in overall technical processes, including an expert level understanding of Magenic Foundation.
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations to be used in the proposal process, leveraging existing marketing material and creative situational selling attributes.
  • Generate content for contracts (e.g. SOWs) and review sales documents before client delivery.
  • Design teaming models using estimation tools like AMEWS and the Margin Estimator.
  • Team with General Managers to conduct opportunity Deal Reviews (DRs) as required.
  • Onboard team members to projects ensuring transition of expectations delivered during sales process.
  • Coordinate with Consulting Managers to ensure a smooth transition from sales to delivery.
  • Support ongoing delivery as needed


ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate and network with Magenic peers on best practices and thought leadership.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to team members.
  • Assist in recruitment and training of new team members.
  • Travel to other regions may be a possibility in support of large strategic pursuits and could be 50% during the period.


QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7-10 years of technical consulting experience
  • Expert knowledge of several technologies relevant to Magenic, with the ability to effectively communicate that knowledge to a sales situation
  • Knowledge of key development areas like strategy,NET, JAVA, UX, QA, enterprise integration, security, mobile, etc.
  • Previous development and/or project management experience in enterprise applications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially presentation skills
  • Ability to create and deliver high-quality presentations to technical and executive audiences
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders, including both internal departments (Sales, Delivery, etc.) and external prospects and clients
