Job Description

KBRwyle Software and IT Solutions Sector is seeking a Software Tester to join our Vector software development team. Vector is a powerful, next-generation logistics analysis tool which provides recommendations for management to address issues which degrade fleet readiness, increased operations/maintenance cost, forecasting supply requirements and management of asset availability.

The successful candidate will be expected to utilize tools and follow processes that ensure high quality software is delivered. The primary responsibilities of the candidate include design, develop and execute test plans and procedures to ensure high-availability and performance, and support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies to improve test coverage and test automation. Additional duties may require technical writing support, and/or configuration management support. In addition, the candidate shall be knowledgeable about the software development life cycle (SDLC) and contribute to all phases in support of team objectives. Our diverse team operates in an Agile environment.

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline is required. In lieu of a degree four (4) years of experience is required.

Experience/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Selected applicant must have prior experience performing software test activities, to include IV&V. Strong software lifecycle management experience is required. Applicant must have experience with test automation tools and techniques and experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment. The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required. Experience with CMMI ML 3 processes is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) including Test Manager/Test Runner is preferred. Experience with project management and/or Scrum/Agile tools (MS Project, Visio, etc) is desired.
