Software Quality Assurance III

C-MAP is seeking a driven, creative, and proactive Lead Test Engineer . You will lead the testing effort of multiple products facilitating communication of both local and remote developers and testers. You will assure best practices and quality are applied to the testing effort allowing for the delivery of functional products that give our users the best experience possible in order to keep growing our customer base and revenue.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Your experience will be put to use in assuring high product quality for web applications (JavaScript and HTML):

• Performing full quality assurance / quality control of a Web application, from the initial planning to the release,
• Functional and performance testing (front-end and back-end),
• Reviewing requirements and participating in their clarification,
• Developing, executing, and updating test cases and test scenarios,
• Developing of the testing framework, and setting up automated testing processes,
• Writing, supporting, and upgrading test automation using C#
• Reporting, documenting, and troubleshooting technical issues and bugs,
• Facilitate testing efforts between local and remote development and test teams.

Practical Experience

To excel in this role, you must have:

• 2+ years of software test experience
• Proven ability to create clear, comprehensive, and efficient test plans and test cases, including both manual and automatic
• Experience in testing JavaScript and HTML5 applications
• Experience with test automation using C#
• Advanced Excel user
• Good understanding of software development procedures and lifecycle (experience with Agile/Scrum)
• Experience with bug-tracking systems (preferably TFS or JIRA)
• Responsible, self-motivated, and able to handle the stress of project deadlines
• Knowledge of, or interest in, cartography and geographic information systems (GIS), marine navigation, commercial marine operations, and optimization algorithms is a plus
