Software Engineering Intern

We seek an exceptional individual to join the engineering team as a Design Engineering Intern focusing on new product development. The successful applicant must possess a background in mechanical engineering, an analytical and creative mind, a willingness to learn in a fast-paced production environment, and an outstanding work ethic.

• Engage in design sessions with design, engineering, and product management teams

• Work directly with design engineers to develop and validate new products

• Create software requirement, design, user journey, system architecture document
• Create and execute test plan
• Participate in issue debugging with in-house engineers and development partners
• Conduct industry, compliance, and competitive research and analysis
• Conduct system performance and vulnerability analysis
• Assist in creating and maintaining development roadmap, schedule, and resource allocation
• Assist in creating and maintaining development and test environment
• Assist in upgrading and maintaining SLC management system

• Sr. year in pursuing of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, or Mathematic from an accredited institution. In pursuing of a Master’s degree is a plus
• Excellence written and oral communication skills, organization skills, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge in software development methodologies and software life cycle management
• Knowledge in enterprise IT infrastructure and TCP/IP networking
• Knowledge in C++, Java, HTML, CSS, Python, JavaScript, Angular.js, MySql, NoSQL
• Experience in native, web, and mobile application developments
• Experience in test automation and data/system visualization
• Experience in graphical design a plus
• Exposure in distributed enterprise software applications is a plus
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Office
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
