Software Engineer – JavaScript / C# Developer (entry level)

You will work with the Cognition team to design and develop the Cognition Cockpit. Your typical day will span the gamut from writing presentation layer in HTML/CSS to designing algorithms to efficiently retrieve and process data on the back-end in C# or other languages. Is your mind agile enough to work with three or more different languages – at the same time?

Your primary responsibilities:

• Engage as an agile team member who designs, develops, and maintains the Cognition Cockpit
• Participate in design sessions for new product features and capabilities
• Write and review design specifications
• Be flexible and adaptable to meet the often changing needs of a small and growing company

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science (engineers, see below*)
• Experience with object oriented languages (at least one of: C++, C#, Java)
• Experience with web scripting languages (JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, XML)
• Detail oriented nature
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

*An engineering degree will be considered if you have a demonstrable interest and experience in programming.

Desired Experience

• Experience with SmartClient, Bootstrap, or other frameworks a plus
• Experience with Systems or Design Engineering methodology
• Experience with Requirements Management or Product Development software applications
• Commercial experience (as intern or post-graduation)
