Software Engineer in Test, Test Automation

Jelli is looking for a strong software engineer to help us build the first global audio advertising exchange. We’re on a mission to be THE audio advertising exchange to power linear broadcast and streaming audio, globally.

For us to succeed in this mission, we need solid people that are not afraid of tackling tough problems.

In this role, you’ll be called upon to develop a deep understanding of the business objective, design a suite of test plans and execute on them to ensure a stable and scalable platform. You’ll do this as part of a team that collaborates closely with product managers and designers.

As a key stakeholder in the team, you will be given as much ownership as you can handle to get the job done. The more you can take on, the better. We’re looking for people that want to stretch and grow, so don’t be afraid if you’re not fully there yet.

What you’ll do

Review requirements, design docs and API specifications to come up with test cases
Develop additional test cases for existing functionality and automate them
Execute and triage daily execution of our automated test suites
Document and organize knowledge for easy accessibility
Identify and track issues with key stakeholders
Identify and document bugs or areas of improvement throughout our software stack
Troubleshoot released defects and articulate impact and severity and work with team to resolve
Ensure no regression bugs are introduced
Act as an advocate for our customers and partners

What’s required

———————

2+ years of experience with automated testing for REST APIs
2+ years of experience with automated testing for Single-page Appliances using Selenium
Strong ability to program in at least one object oriented language, preferably Java
Basic knowledge of SQL and Unix
Working knowledge of QA methodologies and software development using Agile methods
Hands on experience with black box and white box testing, exploratory testing, regression testing
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related subject
