Software Engineer II

cFive Solutions is a fast-growing software and services provider that delivers unique, data-driven software solutions to government organizations. Our software solutions empower social change and improve people’s lives. We are seeking a senior software developer to support existing information systems and software implementations in production with one of our largest customers. The person in this position will participate as part of a team in gathering product requirements, and designing, developing, testing and implementing software solutions. The position will mostly be onsite as part of our team, with occasional work from our office in Orange County.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Develops software solutions by investigating issues, gathering usage information, conferring with users, studying business workflow and processes, and following software development lifecycle with clear code.

Determines operational feasibility by analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.

Documents solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments.

Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.

Updates skills and knowledge by studying new programming languages, frameworks, tools, software systems.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field

Minimum of 6 years working experience, with 5+ years using Java and 1+ years using C

Familiar with document management system for government process

Experienced with web and mobile technologies

Familiar with data integration concepts and patterns

Self-motivated and independent

Fast learner, problem solver, and team player

Excellent in written and communication skills

OpenText Case360, Documentum, Process Suite and Content Server (Preferred)
