Software Engineer – IC Package Design

As a Package Design Software Engineer at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for developing code to create database systems that support IC package design. In this position, you will work with Package Design, Document Control, and Engineering Managers across international sites to develop, implement, and maintain integrated software solutions for all aspects of IC package design. Examples include system development and control of: design rules, design process flow, mechanical simulation, die stack analysis, netlist generation, bond diagram creation, global workload management, DFMEA automation, and global design documentation.

Responsibilities:

Relational Database Development and Maintenance

• Perform database design and normalization
• Perform SQL query design and optimization
• Perform basic SQL Server administration

Application development in a Microsoft environment

• Have experience with C# and Window Services
• Have experience with current web technologies, such as Javascript, jQuery, AJAX, etc.

• Have experience with SharePoint integration

Contribute to a Safe and Compliant Work Environment

• Indentify and promptly report hazards
• Follow safety procedures and area work rules

Qualifications:

Successful candidates for this position will have:

• In-depth knowledge of several software languages and development tools

• Developed organizational and leadership skills
• Developed verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lead collaborative efforts through cross-functional teams
• Developed Software Engineering skills

Education:

BS or MS degree in software field or equivalent industry experience required

Experience:

2 + Years experience in software development desired

Workplace:

• International travel may be required on a annual basis
• Work environment will be office (cubical)
• Shift will be 8+ hour shift, 5 days per week, Days
