Position Summary and Essential Duties

Under close supervision, code and unit test changes to computer programs from program specifications. Documents and maintains those programs. Job Specific Information

The Pricing team is seeking a candidate possessing solid understanding of development skills with good understanding of databases to build services which will permit the Pricing 01 business area to continue to move the enterprise into the future.

Primary responsibilities include development, testing and building metrics on coding which interfaces with enterprise foundational services. The candidate will work in a dynamic environment assisting in the development of new applications and providing modifications to existing applications to support a variety of new business initiatives. The candidate must have strong technical, written, and verbal communications skills. Must be able to work within a team environment and completing tasks assigned on their own with guidance and programming to specifications as well as have the skills to offer ideas based on requirements. The successful candidate will be part of a strong team-oriented environment and must have the ability to learn new languages/concepts quickly. The candidate must be willing to pursue details to meet aggressive deadlines on highly visible projects. The candidate must be willing to learn and grow as technological changes advance and affect the environment.

The successful candidate will be designated to developing to a current code base, testing, building measurable metrics and documentation for several current projects within the Pricing and Rating team.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Java (JMS, SOAP WebServices, Spring) development for revenue and customer pricing systems

Participate in system design reviews

Provide on-going maintenance and support for revenue and customer pricing systems.

Development, unit test and assist with system integration testing for Java applications

Analyze and identify program defects and make corrections

Complete system documentation

Provide second level support during normal business hours and off hours (evenings and weekends) Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Considered a Plus
