POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, modifies complex applications programs from detailed specifications. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those programs. Possess the ability to work independently on most phases of software application development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engage in building a next generation cloud based healthcare single sign portal using an evolving set of technologies including React, Golang, Groovy, Grails, MySQL, and AWS services such as EC2, S3, and CloudFront.

• Modifies, implements, tests, and supports all product related user interface technology and functionality, including continuous integration configurations hosted in an AWS hosted environment.
• Demonstrates strong drive to learn and advocate for development best practices (TDD, code reviews, continuous integration, etc.)
• Communicates proactively and effectively with team members and other product stakeholders in a highly Agile environment.
• Self-starter that will take tasks and accomplish them with little oversight according to timelines and budgets agreed upon with business and technology stakeholders.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• College grad with 1+ years of related IT experience
• Strong background in JavaScript and modern user interface implementation
• Experience with GIT, GitHub/Lab, Jenkins
• Front end asynchronous program experience
• Experience consuming REST web services
• JSON development skills.
• Some understanding of modern web frameworks
• Demonstrated initiative with learning new technologies, such as React and Redux

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with Grails 3
• Demonstrable experience working with large enterprise user interface projects
• Demonstrated technical experience as a front end engineer

EDUCATION:

• BA/BS degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
