Software Engineer – Bozeman

Software Engineering:

The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team of engineers focused on developing cutting edge technology in a fast paced and friendly environment. The candidate will be asked to take a lead role in supporting the new technology development and design efforts. The candidate must be familiar with software lifecycle and must be able to develop applications from concept to production. The candidate must have experience and interest in developing high quality, responsive GUI design. Responsibilities will include system and device integration/technology validation/performance enhancement, application level software development, software architecture and GUI design, and data/algorithm analysis.

Position Requirements:

– BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

– 5+ years of software development experience in semiconductor capital equipment or related field.

– Object-oriented software development experience in C++, C#, VB, or Java.

– High quality GUI design experience, WPF experience preferred.

– Live video and image handling experience desired.

– Device communication experience desired, such as WCF, serial, USB, TCP/IP.

– Plugin development

– OEM device API integration

– Experience with regression testing schemes preferred

– Logical and analytical approach to system integration/evaluation/validation.

– Previous experience with software control of semiconductor capital equipment, motion control systems, laser systems, or similar manufacturing systems is desired.

– Experiences with .NET application development is required.

– Embedded systems experience is a plus.

– International travel required although not expected to be frequent.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of radiation and electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
