Current Need

The Software Developer you will be perform software application system analysis, design, programming, complex bug verification and fixing, testing, and support for various products that are part of the related to the McKesson Health Solution (MHS) solution focused in the area Network Management. As software developer you will work on a team utilizing the Kanban methodology to ensure that the product roadmap, initiatives and goals are accomplished through the delivery of high quality releases.

Position Description

Analyze and design solutions. Under the guidance of the Development Lead and Systems Architect, analyze technical requirements and design new components that meet the functional and performance requirements defined by the Business Systems Analyst.

Development. Collaborate with the Development Lead, apply engineering principles and object-oriented software design, coding, integration and test methodology in a kanban software development environment. Work according to team standards, best practices and process expectations. Performs tasks such as: coding, code reviews, peer reviews, unit testing, integration testing, functional reviews, etc., during the development release, while meeting project timelines.

Quality. Works with all team members to execute upon software development industry best practices adopted by MHS. Ensure quality gates are being achieved to deduce the technical debt of the system.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

4+ years experience in software engineering

Critical Skills

• Experience with REST API development
• Experience with Java technologies (JSP, Servlets, Applets, EJB, Swing, JDBC)
• Experience with Java XML technologies (JAXB, for example)
• Experience with Hibernate, JPA, and DAOs

Additional Knowledge & Skills

• Experience with ESB Development
• Experience with markup languages (XML, HTML, CSS)
• Experience with scripting languages (Javascript, Jython)
• Experience with Spring framework

Education

4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
