Software Engineer

Elation is looking for a Software Engineer with deep understanding of both web and server-side programming, technologies, and scalability challenges. Elation’s development team is a small group of experienced and talented engineers who are passionate about our product and our users. As a member of the team you’ll be involved in product design and development, work on all parts of the stack, and deploy your changes to production weekly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop new product features on all parts of the stack
• Collaborate with design, product, and QA teams to deliver projects with measurable business results
• Suggest and drive improvement on all parts of the stack and internal development processes
• Help our skilled support team triage bugs and troubleshoot production issues
• Learn from and mentor other engineers and participate in code reviews

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• 7+ experience as a full stack developer in a fast-paced startup (or equivalent)
• Strong proficiency in Python, Django, JavaScript, React, and Redux
• Proficiency with MySQL and relational database modeling
• Experience with ElasticSearch, Redis, Celery, AWS
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong sense of empathy
• Ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-moving dynamic environment
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
