Software Engineer

We’re looking for strong full stack (python, django, javascript) engineers who will help us create and maintain state ­of­ the­ art applications of highly complex genetic data. Candidates should be well ­rounded in current­ generation front-­end technologies and comfortable working in an agile environment. At Invitae, we’re using genetics to improve healthcare for everyone. What you bring:

• 2+ years experience with Java, Python, C/C++, or other object-oriented programming languages
• 2+ year experience with Javascript and well­ established MV* frameworks (ex., react.js, backbone.js, etc.)
• 2+ years experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, etc.)
• Familiarity with UNIX environments and scripting
• Experience with consumer facing, high traffic web applications desired
• Interest in science and medicine, experience with web analytics,
• UX design chops are all interesting and a bonus!
