Software Development/Support Intern

CVISION Technologies specializes in document workflow optimization by providing Enterprise-class solutions for advanced PDF optimization and industry-leading OCR accuracy. Our solutions are found in many Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. We were recently acquired by Foxit Software, a leading PDF solutions provider whose technology is used in Google Chrome and Gmail as well as the Amazon Kindle. These are exciting times as we begin blending CVISION’s own acclaimed technology into the Foxit product line.

CVISION is currently seeking a talented Software Development/Support Intern to join our growing team. A quick learner with a strong work ethic is critical for this role. This internship could lead to a full-time position for someone who performs well and shows strong potential.

Responsibilities may include:

• Maintain and expand our automated test system.
• Troubleshoot and develop back-end scripts for company website.
• Update and maintain installation packages.
• Evaluate new software tools.
• Test/QA new product features and bug fixes.
• Review automated regression test results and identify possible concerns.
• Check bug reports and report new bugs in our defect tracking system (JIRA).
• Assist with customer technical support as needed.
• Generate electronic software licenses for end-users as needed.

General Competencies/Background:

• Completed at least two years of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar discipline.
• Well-acquainted with current Windows operating system versions.
• Programming skills in C++ and/or C#.
• Some scripting knowledge (DOS batch, Windows PowerShell and/or Python) is preferred.
• Web programming skills in JavaScript, Perl, and/or PHP.
• Experience using MS Visual Studio.
• Experience using Git, Subversion, or similar code repository system.
• Experience authoring InstallShield-based installations is a big plus.
• Ability to keep up with multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Quick learner of new tools and technologies.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
