We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to help build a new cloud-based platform, apps, and services designed to support Intelligent Transportation System and Smart City / IoT Solutions for cities and transportation departments. BlueMAC is a leading supplier of Bluetooth-based data and analytics for transportation agencies worldwide.

We expect you to be an energetic, independent, goal-driven person with excellent communication skills and experience with software engineering concepts, object-oriented design, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

Responsibilities

Design and implement cloud platform, apps, and services.
Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications.
Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features.
Maintain code integrity and organization.

Qualifications

BS/BA in a Computer Science or equivalent experience.
3+ years in a professional software development role.
Demonstrated experience with back-end programming languages such as PHP, Python, Ruby, Java, C#/ASP.NET.
Demonstrated experience with web technologies and languages such as HTML5/CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX.
LAMP stack experience is a plus.
Development experience for both web and mobile.
Experience working with graphic designers and converting designs to visual elements.
Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
Experience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications.
Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git or SVN.
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking ability
