First Orion is seeking a talented Software Developer to join our collaborative and winning First Orion Data Products team. This team provides businesses with identity verification solutions that help companies recognize legitimate customers, detect fraudulent transactions, and improve business performance. At the core of our services is our large-scale data assets that businesses use to mitigate risk and improve customer experience. The Software Developer will need to be experienced in design, implementation and testing of front-end and back-end software applications.

Core responsibilities:

• Design and develop web service applications, enabling secure, high performance, fault tolerant data exchange
• Design, implement, and test software features First Orion data products
• Contribute to advancing reliability and performance of the service architecture; introduce new performance counters and instrumentation points
• Participate in the provisioning, deployment and troubleshooting of First Orion data products and services

Required skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Windows server application development
• Linux server application development
• C#
• Java
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server 2012 programming, including stored procedures, functions, user-defined types and triggers
• IIS
• ASP.net

Nice to have skills:

• Prior experience in telephony and communication industry
• Development experience with high-performance low-latency fault-tolerant systems
• Knowledge of AWS-based solution creation and related experience
• Knowledge of best practices for efficient performance of SQL server code
• Experience working with MySQL databases
• AJAX
