A successful SITAR Developer will have will have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other STEM degree and 1-2 years of software engineering experience developing application in PHP, JSON and JavaScript under Linux or equivalent experience.

1-2 years experience building applications primarily written using PHP, JSON and JavaScript

1-2 years experience with Databases such as MSSQL, MySQL, Mongo DB or PostgreSQL

1-2 years experience writing simple shell scripts (UNIX/Linux)

Preferred Qualifications:
Comfortable working in a service orientated architecture environment

Experience building websites using DOCKER, JS frameworks, Visual Studio frameworks and MVC frameworks

Experience with spectral analysis using remote/networked spectrum analyzers

Experience in Space-to-Ground spectral analysis hardware tools and Link Budget optimization, with the associated communication interface protocol and network technologies is a plus

Experience delivering solutions using Agile delivery practices

Familiarity to DEV/PROD Deployment Support including: deploying code, static files, and/or databases by request to the staging environment, and syncing static files and databases among environments

DISH is seeking a SITAR Software Developer, for the Satellite Monitoring Group ( SMG ) data analysis center, in Cheyenne, WY, who will be part of a well-organized and motivated engineering team responsible for developing software for communicating with remote/local hardware and administrating network for the S.I.T.A.R. (Spectral Imaging, Trending, Analysis, and Reporting) System. SITAR is primarily written using PHP, JSON and JavaScript , under Linux

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:
Graphing X.Y data as related to RF Spectrum using remote/networked spectrum analyzers

Administration of SITAR infrastructure; working with software and network support teams to develop interfaces between spectral measurement devices and relational databases containing systems specifications

Development of SITAR network to leverage various information resources into a simplified user front end interface that provides immediate correlation of signal points to service and systems.
