Senior UNIX Engineer

The responsibility of this Senior UNIX Engineer role is to oversee and assist with major project initiatives, as well as provide support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

This position requires in-depth knowledge of the RHEL 5.x, 6.x and 7.x operating system AND Solaris 10 and 11 superior troubleshooting skills, capacity and performance experience and reporting, a thorough understanding of network protocols, implementation experience in the use of highly available applications, experience with Jumpstart and Kickstart technologies, as well as Intel-based hardware technologies.

This individual will also be required to have demonstrated working knowledge and expertise with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Global File System clustering, shell scripting, VMWare virtualization, SAN, NAS, NFS, DNS, Red Hat Identity Management, and experience in cloud environments. Management and interpersonal skills are also a must for this position.

Technical Skills:

SAN (block): Hitachi or EMC, NAS: NetApp, Repo management, rpm, yum, Red Hat Satellite. Puppet OR Chef, Nagios, UNIX sar Tools, functional programming (no development) Remote file system protocols: CIFS/SMB, NFS, Volume management, shared file systems and clustering, NTFS ACLs vs POSIX, HFS and Macs in a heterogeneous work environment, Infrastructural services, AD and LDAP (Open LDAP )DNS/DHCP, Apache/Tomcat, Samba

OpenSSL and GNU utilities.

Quantum products a plus (StorNext, Lattus)!!!!
