Positions in this function provide local technical support to UnitedHealth Groups computer user community. Includes installations, upgrades, computing problem resolution, diagnosis of issue severity, recovery and project implementation.

Primary Responsibilities:

Managing UPS projects for the Data Center Facilities, Field Site Team
Act as project manager between customer and other support teams
Configure, monitor, troubleshoot, coordinate installations of rack mounted UPS systems with on-site contacts and vendors
Ability to work independently and with a team managing multiple priorities
Use ServiceNow for the creation of change control and incident records.
Provide on-call support on a rotating basis

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED or higher
1+ years of experience working with rack mounted UPS systems
1+ years of experience working in a large geographically disbursed environment
Experience with MS Excel (basic navigation; manipulation of data; sorting / filtering)
Must be able to travel at least 10% of the time – locally and overnight
Must be able to work Monday-Friday core business hours with on-call rotation 1 week every 8 weeks

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Previous UnitedHealth Group work experience
Health Care Industry experience
Project Management experience
Certifications, Training and / or Working Knowledge of Electricity and/or Electrical Safety in the workplace i.e. NFPA 70E, OSHA, etc.
Experience / knowledge of critical IT environments

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Must be able to lift 50 pounds
