Senior Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Deploy, manage and support Five9’s cloud applications
Configure and provision new servers in global data centers and AWS (private and public cloud)
Monitor production environments, troubleshoot incidents (both hardware and software problems)
Work with cross functional teams to build consistent patch deployment and validation processes
Automate normal, repetitive system administration tasks
Automate the deployment of systems and Five9 applications
Create/maintain documentation of application environments (diagrams, procedures, etc.)
Implement changes during off hours maintenance windows
Architect, design, deploy and maintain production DNS, LDAP, SSSD infrastructure
Participate in on-call rotation
Troubleshoot system and application issues

Key Requirements:

10+ years of Linux/Unix System Administration experience preferably RHEL/CentOS
5+ years of BIND DNS and LDAP experience
2+ years JBoss AS and Tomcat experience highly desired
Strong experience supporting mission critical 24×7 production/cloud environments
Solid scripting skills in Bash, Perl, and Python
Puppet configuration management automation tool experience required
OS and Applications hardening knowledge
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Great understanding of cloud, web & enterprise technologies
Capable of independently managing complex projects and preparing detailed build /t test plans to implement new technologies/configurations
Able to reverse engineer systems
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
