Senior Systems Administrator

Overview

Job Function – Prepare financial reports, developed budgets, and performed variance analysis in accordance with business plan expectation. Compile periodic financial reporting packages for senior management. Oversee general accounting functions, including AR/AP, account reconciliation, and cash management. Administer all financial management systems, evaluating and integrating new applications.

Responsibilities

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Basic Function
– Ensure the smooth operation of the organization’s voice, data, and security infrastructure in order to provide maximum performance and availability for the system’s users through design, configuration, ongoing management, and support of Standard Parking’s corporate infrastructure spanning multiple locations across the United States.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide Second/Third tier desktop & application support for all Standard Parking applications, computers, and printers
  • Generate documentation and provide training to the Help Desk Team to help drive continuous improvement in end user support
  • Train and mentor junior members of the IT team
  • Take a proactive approach to network and systems management so as to address problems before the user community is affected
  • Perform day to day management of networks and systems, as assigned by IT management, without causing interruptions in service
  • Perform hardware and software builds of networks and systems, as assigned by IT management
  • Follow formal change management processes for all modifications to the production environment
  • Responsible for following procedures in support of Sarbanes-Oxley, SAS70, PCI, and other relevant auditing standards
  • Maintain systems and solutions documentation suitable for knowledge transfer with other IT staff
  • Work on call, off hours, and rotational shifts, as required, in the support of IT operations
  • Work with IT management and technical team members in the design, build, and deployment of systems and applications
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance, to IT management, with regard to any systems/applications that fall under sphere of influence
  • Consult/work with end users to determine challenges and come to either meaningful or repeatable solutions
  • Work with Business and Technical Analysis, as well as direct business owners in the development and support of corporate business systems and tools
  • Support and maintain server clusters and HA environments
  • Design/build/maintain storage area network platforms
  • Design/build/maintain enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Maintain and support cloud and hosted applications and systems
  • Play a primary role in determining and conducting systems and infrastructure upgrades
  • Act in a leadership role, mentoring and developing junior systems administrators

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


Education/Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, or related field preferred. Approximately 5-9 years experience in LAN/WAN support in a fast paced environment that may be subject to compliance audits. Experience with corporate IT support of over 100 server systems as well as experience with formal change management process. Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and others.


Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills as well as team leadership skills and experience. Ability to be proactive in seeking out problems and resolutions.


Additional Requirements:
Ability to work as part of a team, or independently, to drive projects and work to completion. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to lift up to 50lbs and to travel 5-10%. Knowledge in following technologies:

Experience with unix/linux operating systems, experience in project management, having industry relevant certifications (CCNP, MCSE, etc), and experience with Amazon and hosted platforms is a plus.
