Senior Software Developer

The Senior Software Developer has the responsibility of ensuring complete, quality applications are designed, developed, and delivered in a timely fashion in support of the company’s business and customers. They will provide leadership to other developer and QA staff, external contractors, and overall project teams as well as interface with all departments within the company.

Essential Functions

• Design and develop quality code.

• Maintain and modify existing applications.

• Design and development of quality user interface.

• Develop and maintain databases.

• Design and maintain unit tests.

• Design, maintain, and approve business requirements document.

• Design, maintain, and approve wireframe designs.

• Develop and maintain coding standards documentation.

• Perform code reviews for other developers.

• Design and maintain testing environments.

• Interface with other departments to clarify details of development requests.

• Research and suggest tools to increase performance.

• Update and maintain code repository.

• Develop and maintain SDLC documentation.

• Publish developed code and database to production environment.

• Manage employee engagement and performance.

• Interface with senior management.

• Create annual budget and ensure the department is operating within budget.

• Perform vendor review and selection.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Working Conditions

Primarily in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to sit, use keyboard and mouse (or alternative input device), and use telephone. Employee will frequently lift 0-10 lbs and occasionally lift, up to 50 lbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work ore Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

This position requires no travel.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED

• Three to five years’ experience in software development

• Knowledge of programming languages and technologies, preferably C#, Angular JS, SQL, JSON, or .Net.
