Senior Project Manager

POWER Engineers, Inc. – Facilities Business Unit is growing and we are actively seeking a Senior Project Manager (PM) for employment, starting on or before the end of March, in our office in Boise, Idaho. The successful candidate will be responsible for project and client management within our Facilities Division; he/she should have strong lead engineering skills, strong project management skills and strong client skills to find, win and successfully complete projects. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Management of projects at all levels, from Master Planning to final construction support; including schedules, budgets, staffing and overall quality of our final delivered product
  • Technical skills to lead and optimize the project deliverables; leading, coaching and/or mentoring our internal design team as required by the project needs
  • Communication and relationship growth with an ever broadening client base, including the development of new clients and projects. The ideal client could grow into a Client Executive role while actively managing projects
  • Ability to work with our clients, their contractors and suppliers and our existing technical staff of Engineers and Architects to complete and deliver successful projects that meet or exceed the client expectations while providing a profitable result for POWER Engineers

Minimum Required Skills

  • Portfolio of work representing a successful project management role across a variety of project types, sizes and complexities with some project work involving food production facilities
  • The applicant must be able to work successfully in a customer focused, project oriented environment and have very supportive skills in making sure teammates are able to succeed within the guidelines and direction provided during project execution
  • Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communications skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with strong negotiation and contract knowledge
  • Willing to travel approximately 30% of your time

Desired Minimum Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field from an accredited curriculum
  • 10+ years professional experience in Engineering and Project Management
  • Successfully demonstrated Client Management experience
