Senior .NET Developer / Programmer

Aviation, rail, and maritime agencies leverage Panther International’s cloud based software to manage projects, financial information, grant administration, asset registration, and customer data. Over $26 Billion in grants are administrated and thousands of transportation assets are managed via Panther International’s suite of solutions.

Panther International is seeking a . NET Developer for its software development team. The .NET Developer will customize Panthers suite of solutions to better fit individual customer needs and will develop core features for inclusion in Panther Internationals cloud based platform. The individual will work within an agile team based environment for milestone based delivery.

Job Responsibilities

  • Writing and designing web page content in ASP.NET/C#
  • Performing web application updates
  • Conferring with project management to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria, and choose solutions
  • Backing up files from web sites to local directories for instant recovery in case of problem
  • Identifying problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback, and correct problems or escalating problems to appropriate personnel for correction
  • Evaluating code to ensure that it is valid, is properly structured, meets industry standards and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
  • Maintaining understanding of current web technologies or programming practices
  • Analyzing user needs to determine technical requirements
  • Developing test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of proven track record with ASP.Net Development (C#), web forms, MVC, Visual Studio, Web Services, and Source control.
  • 3-5 years of experience with SQL Server 2008/2005 and knowledge of database design and performance management
  • Strong knowledge of Web Standards and Technologies (JQuery, AJAX, CSS, XML, DHTML)
  • Desired proficiency in WPF, WCF, LINQ, Silverlight, Mapping/GIS, Flash, Photoshop, and Crystal Reports
  • 3-5 years as a software developer with strong knowledge of general algorithms, backend development, design patterns and good coding practices
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to apply standards and processes
  • Self-Motivated, strong delivery focus, and ability to work well within a team environment
  • Ability to pass a criminal and financial background check
  • Ability to work onsite at our office in the Tampa Bay area
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or management information systems is preferred
