Senior Java Developer

Spectrum Data Services’ client requires a Senior Java Developer .

This is a 6 month contract position with the possibility of extension and it starts immediately.

It located in West Los Angeles, CA with a large entertainment company.

*** YOU MUST BE ABLE & WILLING TO WORK IN LOS ANGELES AND COMMUTE ON A DAILY BASIS. NO OFFSITES!***

You will need to come to Los Angeles to perform an onsite coding test during the interview process.

10 years of experience as a Java coder.

Prefer 12 months in entertainment industry experience.

Sun certification for Java is a big PLUS.

Technical Skills required:

• Application Server: JBoss, Weblogic
• Language: Core Java, JSP, Servlet, Webservices, REST services, JavaScript
• Knowledge of Frameworks on ORM, MVC will be preferred.
• Database: Oracle, PLSQL, Development/Design of database, writing stored procedures/functions.
• OS: Linux, Shell Scripting, FTP.
• Eclipse IDE – Usage & configuration of projects
• Maven scripts, packaging & deployment.
• Core Java/ J2EE Design Patterns
• Nice to have: MEAN stack
• Knowledge on NoSQL/Elastic Search (preferred)
• Spring Framework (preferred)
• Object Relation Mapping (preferred)
• Source control – Subversion/GIT (preferred)

Essential Experience:

• 10+ years experience as a full time developer developing web applications and integrating with databases.
• Preparing test plans and performing system testing.
• Must be familiar with the full project lifecycle, for both development and support projects, including estimation.

Key Skills:

Education:

Masters/Bachelors Degree in a technology related field
