Operations IT Dept (Fixed Income)

The Operations IT department is responsible for the lights on support, tactical and strategic development for Front Office and Operations.

We seek an individual with excellent technical skills to join the Asset Servicing IT team within the GOSD Assert Servicing IT department. She/He will engage in the Firm’s tactical and strategic development initiatives for the Asset Servicing department within Global Operations Solution Delivery.

  • Candidate must demonstrate an ability to undertake large/small scale project development.
  • Candidate must be highly motivated, an enthusiastic learner, and an excellent team player.
  • Candidate must be able to display the communications skills (listening as well as verbal) necessary to communicate with colleagues and IT management.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

  • Undertake development efforts for the Asset servicing department.
  • Provide L3 Technical Support.

You Offer

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • J2EE – Enterprise Java Beans (EJB); Messaging (MDB); Container/Bean managed transactions
  • J2EE Design Patterns
  • XML
  • Solid database skills. Especially around database modeling and optimization
  • Oracle
  • UNIX
  • Agile Development methods
  • Provide L3 production support for core Asset Servicing applications

DESIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Hibernate, Spring, Weblogic (app server)

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND

  • 5+ years J2EE development
  • 5+ Years Oracle Experience

DESIRED WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND

  • Financial Services. Investment Banking

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • BS / BA Required in Computer Science or related field
