Junior PL SQL Developer

Involved in the complete life cycle of a formal Data Migration development and release control process at Pharmaceutical companies which includes the analysis of Business and Functional requirements, planning the Data Migration and Validation strategy, designing the Data models/objects, developing and executing the migration and validation code.

Job Duties

Key components of the responsibilities are as mentioned below:

  • Be responsible for performing a range of functions in the areas of technical design, development, testing and deployment of Data Migration solutions
  • Understand business requirements, relational databases and data models
  • Participate in onsite workshops with clients for requirements gathering, dry runs and user acceptance
  • Be responsible for data analysis and writing complex Oracle PL/SQL code & SQL queries
  • Create and maintain PL/SQL packages, functions, stored procedures and database schema diagrams
  • Be responsible for creating and maintaining scripts used in database change management, Oracle migrations, and initial schema setup
  • Be involved in Functional and Performance Testing

Education & Other Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science degree in computer-related major from reputed Institutes/University

Essentials

  • 0 – 5 years of professional experience in Oracle PL/SQL, scripting ( SQLPlus) and writing efficient SQL queries, SQL query tuning and database schema design
  • Experience in current technologies, platforms and database applications
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Commitment to excellence and high quality standards
  • Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within changing priorities
  • International travel readiness, work hours that overlap global client location Time-zones

Nice to Have Skills

  • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences/ Drug Safety domain and products
  • Knowledge of one or more Data migration/warehousing implementations
