Senior Flight Operations Executive

The Role

We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience of Travel Operations Management to enhance the service provision and maximise profitability by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of all aspects of ticketing and travel operations. Though based in Cape Town, you will be working as part of a team across London, Belgium and Cape Town, supporting our EMEA members and colleagues and championing our air product so the ability to deliver training and liase with suppliers remotely is vital.

You will need the ability to manage and lead day-to-day operations whilst also being responsible for the overall air product strategy. Working closely with the Commercial Director, you will be the day to day contact for the airlines so supplier account management experience is essential. A thorough understanding of the European travel industry is essential and travel experience within Europe is preferred. You will have excellent GDS skills; including Amadeus, with an ability to be hands on with flights reservations and ticketing when required.

Responsibilities include detailed commercial analysis, incorporating forecasting, budgeting, negotiation & influencing, and stakeholder management at a more strategic level. Working with a number of departments, this role is important in driving change within our travel operation and will often mean being the air business lead for technical development projects and taking responsibility for operational processes, including managing any changes to the ways airlines distribute their product (via GDS or otherwise) and ensuring our systems can handle these changes.
