Senior Director – Program Delivery

What you will get to do:

The Senior Director – Program Delivery is accountable for the execution and delivery of large enterprise healthcare platform implementations across various lines of business. The incumbent contributes to the development of implementation strategy, planning and approaches, collaborating with senior leadership and stakeholders. The Senior Director works closely with colleagues across the business and information technology teams to ensure that strategies are well understood and plans are crafted to execute delivery based on defined schedules and budgets. This individual will also lead the execution of these initiatives across the organization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years working at a senior management level
Specific Types of Experience or Skills Required:
  • Demonstrated implementation and integration experience within a healthcare payer
  • Familiarity with health plan operations and IT operations within a health plan
  • Experience working with a broad range of technologies, platforms, systems and vendors
  • Understands IT delivery, including program methodologies (AGILE, etc.), architecture, integration, quality assurance, development and has experience directing teams through all phases of IT delivery
  • Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, ITIL and other service management / delivery experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendor/third party relationships
  • Demonstrated acumen related to IT budgeting and cost management
  • Strong people management skills, with experience in managing resources to meet goals on simultaneous/multiple projects
  • Ability to recognize resource and skillset gaps in delivery teams and address quickly to minimize impact on delivery.
  • Ability to professionally challenge assumptions and decisions in a pragmatic manner to control scope to ensure successful delivery.
  • Demonstrated success in communicating, motivating and influencing individuals, teams and programs to ensure delivery
  • Ability to be transparent about delivery issues and correct course of delivery teams to ensure objectives are met or exceeded
  • Ability to gain respect and cooperation of delivery teams to allow collaborative and open communications to flow without disruption
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of an organization from front line staff to senior executives.
Number of direct reports and titles: A direct management team of 1-4 direct reports (Program and Project Managers)

Number of indirect reports (reporting up through direct-report supervisors) and titles: Up to 100+ matrixed employees (Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Engineers, Analysts, Architects, Support professionals)
