Senior Informatica developer

What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position? (Please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis)

– Hands on development creating database queries using Informatica Power Center

– Junit / Munit testing (Test Driven Development)

– Experience in Continuous Integration Environment (like SVN, Maven, CodeHub, Jenkins etc)

– Defect fixes, troubleshooting and resolving issues

– Writing Technical and Design specs, perform code reviews

– Troubleshooting, Automated Testing, Unit Testing

– Good documentation skills, good knowledge of visio, powerpoint, MS-excel and MS-word

– Great team player, experience working with mid to large teams and cross functional teams

What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities?

– Hands-on coding ETL flows in Informatica Power Center

– Experience working with the databases (like Oracle, MySQL, IBM DB2 etc)

– Deployment mechanisms of Power Center

– Experience in coding and configuring Continuous Integration (CI) tools like: Jenkins, Mavin, Ant

– Experience and Good understanding of security certifications (one way, two way mutually authenticated certificates etc)

What skills/attributes are a must have?

– ETL development using Informatica Power Center

What skills/attributes are nice to have?

– Experience in Healthcare domain with HIPPA/x12 transactions.
