Senior Associate, Software Developer

Position Overview:
MSCI, Inc. seeks Senior Associate, Software Developer in Norman, OK to develop and maintain MSCI risk management products including RiskManager. Participate in all aspects of the software development cycle, from technical design and delivery estimates to implementation, testing, and defect management and support. Support the design aspects of the application and integration with the supporting communication and service-level frameworks. Maintain and support the existing services. Improve service stability and performance. Advise on issues relating to technical architecture and charting and visualization technologies. Support client services and the solution team to design reports and diagnose results. Develop and implement solutions for the RiskManager web application. Design and architect solutions for reporting in a multi-tier SOA environment. Work with the team architects to design iterations of the product technology that are more automated and scalable. Work with application management to provide tier 3 support for production issues.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related quantitative field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or related software development occupation: participating in all aspects of the software development cycle, from technical design and delivery estimates to implementation, testing, and defect management and support; developing software in Windows and Linux environments utilizing Java, Python, and shell scripting; implementing SOAP Webservices features; and performing performance tuning. Two (2) years of experience must include developing software using Lisp and C#; and architecting software systems. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master’s degree in one of the above areas of study and three (3) years of experience in the above-listed skills.
