Senior Analyst – SkyMiles Air Redemptions

A wide variety of redemption options and unique experiences for members is key to keeping SkyMiles a leading loyalty program and continuing to differentiate from other loyalty programs – both in the airline and non-airline space. To continue to support this valuable revenue base, the SkyMiles team is seeking an individual to join a team responsible for growing our air redemption programs while balancing our mileage liability and impact on the business. This role will regularly interact with commercial teams within Delta.

This position will report directly to Manager, SkyMiles Air Redemptions and will be based at Delta’s Global Headquarters in Atlanta, GA.

Primary Functions

Optimize the value and experience we deliver to members while balancing the business implications of redemption and financial impact to Delta

Partner with Revenue Management to offer award pricing aligned with Delta’s branded product strategy that protects high yield business revenue while offering good customer value in less peak time periods

Monitor redemption trends in the booking curve to optimize seasonality and changes in performance

Work alongside our Commercial partners to promote redemption opportunities above and beyond fare sales providing incremental value

Develop tracking reports and metrics to identify / analyze key performance indicators and market performance for Delta and partner airlines

Oversee partner airlines award pricing, including coordinating with Revenue Management for adjustments

Produce recommendations to make SkyMiles the world’s best-in-class loyalty program

Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

Should possess strong analytical, project management and problem solving skills

Experience in/understanding of loyalty programs and Delta’s Revenue Management processes and systems

Proven excellence in written and oral communication skills

Demonstrates a passion for problem solving and driving from insights to impact

Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, managing multiple priorities at any given time and leveraging resources across all divisions

Must be able to work collaboratively and excel in a cross-functional environment

Industry knowledge and experience with industry data sources is required

Technical skills required include advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel, and database querying
