Senior Accountant/Analyst

WVC is seeking a strong accounting professional for the position of Senior Accountant/Analyst. This position will function as an engaged member of a small team under the supervision of the Financial Controller.

WVC is an international non-profit fundraising organization. Our organization raises funds through direct mail to support the charity programs of the Sisters of Mary which feed, clothe and educate more than 20,000 poor children in the Philippines, Korea, Mexico, Guatemala, Brazil and Honduras.

Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant/Analyst include maintaining and preparing analysis of revenue and costs incurred as a result of our fundraising efforts. Strong attention to detail is needed to accurately track and evaluate the cost effectiveness of fundraising campaigns undertaken by WVC. This role includes budget to actual variance analysis and inventory maintenance.

Excellent communication skills, strength in problem-solving, an interest in the analysis of numbers, and solid Excel skills are all essential.

This position also assists in the month and year end closing process including preparation of journal entries, accruals and balance sheet account reconciliations and prepares the monthly and quarterly financial packages for review by senior management.

In addition, this position maintains files and documentation as well as assists with other projects as needed.

The successful candidate will most likely have a BA/BS degree with a major in accounting, business management or related field with 2-4 years of experience in GL accounting and balance sheet account reconciliations.
