Security Support Specialist

QuantiTech is currently seeking a Security Support Specialist to support our customer at Redstone Arsenal, AL.

The Security Support Specialist will support a security program in accordance with requirements of the National Industrial Security Program and other government regulations. The selected candidate will work in a designated Security office and will assist in general facility security, visitor control, and information security duties.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform visitor control support to include processing incoming and outgoing visit requests, and verifying incoming visitor identification.
  • Perform safeguarding and document control functions to include processing transmission (In & out) of classified/sensitive material; preparation of classified transmittal receipts and packaging. Process courier cards for designated staff.
  • Maintain classified material control and accountability, and perform periodic classified material audits.
  • Ensure JPAS records are updated and maintained with a high level of accuracy.
  • Assist in the administering of prime and subcontract security classification specifications (DD 254’s), and perform facility verifications in ISFD.
  • Assist with processing of Foreign and Public release requests.
  • Process OCONUS Travel briefings and debriefings.
  • Ensure combinations to security containers are changed as needed and required.
  • Ensure continual physical security integrity for the facility and secured work areas in particular.
  • Provide emergency response during non-working hours, if necessary.
  • Travel up to 25%
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a U. S. citizen to meet eligibility requirements for required security clearance.
  • Must possess an active Department of Defense final security clearance.
  • Be able to successfully interact with all levels of the organization while building rapport and trust.
  • Have excellent planning, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to prioritize tasks and to manage multiple tasks and coordinate activities to meet deadlines is critical.
  • Be courteous, professional, and high level of confidentiality.
  • Be proficient in JPAS and ISFD.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office software.
  • Successfully complete required Security Courses and training.
  • Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and Supplements (NISPOMSUP).
