The Scrum Master will act as a servant leader as part of an Agile team to deliver high value software solutions that contribute to the success of our technology initiatives in an agile environment. Working independently and also collaboratively, a Scrum Master will keep teams focused and coach other professionals. Typically leads 1-3 Scrum teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile delivery and associated practices
  • Support and coordinate the execution of all sprint activities and ceremonies for a given sprint team including daily stand ups, sprint iteration definition, sprint reviews and conformance metrics, sprint retrospectives
  • Clears Sprint team Impediments – Identifies, documents, and tracks all project level risks and issues. Works with all project sub-teams to identify, assign, and monitor risk mitigation action items and issue resolution action items.
  • Process Coach for team
  • Ensure team self-management artifacts visible & convenient to use (task board, Sprint burn down, impediment list)
  • Ensure team task estimates and task board are up to date
  • Work with Product Owner to ensure product backlog is prioritized and refined to continue sprint development
  • Ensure Product Backlog user stories are expressed as independent, testable & negotiable user stories
  • Focus on engineering practices – continuous integration
  • Coordinate with other Scrum Masters
  • Utilize Version One for monitoring/controlling and as input to (or generation of) periodic status reports
  • Takes a servant leader approach by operating in a manner that accomplishes the following:
    • Protects & Enables Sprint Team
    • Facilitates a self-organizing and collaborative environment
    • Ensures Sprint team is functioning and productive
    • Ensure sprint team is accountable for overall Sprint delivery
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3 years of Scrum, Agile, and Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) experience.
  • Expertise in use of Agile tools like TFS or Version 1.
  • Experience successfully delivering solutions on an aggressive schedule
  • At least 7 years of experience in managing technical projects
  • Conflict resolution, excellent communication, leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated coaching experience (effective at getting the best out of people, drive people to their best performance, empowerment, and motivation).
  • Experience using tools to create metrics that measure and report on team performance, backlog health and continuous improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields
  • CSM (Certified Scrum Master), SA (SAFe Agilist), SSM (SAFe Scrum Master)
  • SAFe, Kanban experience
  • PMI certification
  • Wealth Management, Digital, and/or Salesforce experience
