As a Scrum Master you’ll be responsible for the success of a “journey” team by evangelizing agile best practices, leading scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and shielding them from external distractions. You’ll support the team in developing clear roadmaps, prioritized backlogs, a systemized project/feature request process, known velocity, company-wide transparency, checkpoints to continually improve especially as we scale, and most importantly the ability to deliver on commitments and customer/business value. Most importantly, as a “servant leader” the Scrum Master will build a safe and trusting environment for team members and encourage continuous improvement by serving as a coach and mentor.
Responsibilities:
  • Guide, coach and motivate the team with the goal of increasing productivity
  • Oversee and manage scope, timeline, quality, goals and deliverables that support business goals
  • Hold development team accountable for managing sprint workloads
  • Prepare and present team performance reports for internal/external stakeholders
  • Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Organize and facilitate sprint planning, scrum standups, scrum of scrums, project reviews, and retrospectives
  • Cultivate consensus and alignment within the team and with external teams across the organization
  • Constantly evaluate whether individuals, teams, and third parties are working efficiently and meeting their goals, and take corrective action as necessary
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure changes are understood and approved
  • Define and manage third party and vendor expectations with regards to dates and deliverables
  • Keep an accurate risk tracking document with an associated mitigation plan
  • Meeting notes (attendees, items discussed, what changed, blockers, next steps, and action items)
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Eight to ten years of experience in project management and leadership activities
  • Five or more years of managerial experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
– Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field – 3 + years of software project management experience or similar role
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Trello, Version One
– Understand basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures – Technical knowledge of desktop, web and mobile technologies
  • 1-3 years of experience playing the Scrum Master role for a software development team
  • 3 years of experience with agile practices, patterns and techniques
  • Expert knowledge of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and user stories
  • Passionate about Scrum, Kanban, SAFe
– Excellent time-management skills – Great interpersonal and communication skills – Experience working with complex, technical system integrations
  • Banking, Fintech ,consumer lending industry experience a plus
